Young Leftists Cannot be Trusted to Lead America

Young leftists are uniquely ignorant of history. Any individual who has ever had a conversation with a young leftist can tell you, this isn’t an unsurprising revelation. Those who are sophisticated enough to think for themselves realize that the ignorance of today’s youth will eventually become a crippling impediment to our nation’s flourishment. These impressions of ignorance aren’t merely based on a vast sampling of opinionated observations; there is a strong basis for these conclusions.

The American Council of Trustees and Alumni found the state of utter ignorance among our nations students to be disturbing. For example, “More Americans could identify Michael Jackson as the composer of “Beat It” and “Billie Jean” than could identify the Bill of Rights as a body of amendments to the U.S. Constitution.” More specifically, when observations were made about millennials, “Among millennials, it was even worse:  66 percent could not identify Auschwitz.  The survey found that 11 percent of American adults had not heard of the Holocaust.  Furthermore, 22 percent of millennials are ignorant of the event.” If American ignorance of international history wasn’t bad enough, their findings of modern students about American history are catastrophic.

“The American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA) found that only 23 undergraduate history programs at the U.S. News and World Report’s top 25 national universities, top 25 public institutions and top 25 liberal arts colleges, require a single U.S. history class. Even students who major in history take not one single course of U.S. history or government at the overwhelming majority of America’s most prestigious institutions.”

I could continue with depressing data points, but you understand my message. Our nation’s students fail to understand the history of not only the world, but our amazing country. This leads me to my next question, what political party do these historically ignorant students and young adults typically gravitate towards? Yes, the Democratic Party. According to Pew Research Center, “Democrats enjoy a 27-percentage-point advantage among Millennial voters (59% are Democrats or lean Democratic, 32% are Republican or lean Republican). In 2014, 53% of Millennial voters were Democrats or leaned Democratic, 37% tilted toward the GOP.”

If the youngest among us that are newly eligible to run for higher office are historically ignorant (i.e. AOC) and largely associated to the Democratic Party, what rationale would any reasonable and prudent person have for voting for such a candidate? What wise voter would prefer an ignorant candidate over an informed one? When “America’s most prestigious institutions” refuse to include America’s history into their curriculum, it’s not unreasonable to expect young students to absorb and regurgitate the ‘bumper-sticker arguments’ they regularly hear spouted by their Marxists teachers and in the mainstream news media.

The millennial generation and those that follow face an educational system that is uniquely anti-American. Our educational system isn’t simply apolitical, it’s advancing leftist doctrine in ways that are societally compromising. Elitist academics and administrators inject their leftist ideology in every curriculum. From American history (i.e. 1619 Project) to biology (i.e. transgenderism), their educational agenda has radicalized America’s youth into leftist zombies (i.e. BLM and Antifa).

America’s younger generations are unprepared for the leadership this great nation. Yet, there isn’t a way to halt the aging process so it’s a certainty that our government will one day be led by this demographic. The educational system is so infected by the Democratic agenda that the prospect that it’ll improve for future generations is highly unlikely. That’s why everyday Americans must take the education of their children seriously. If kids must go to public school, their parents should be deeply involved in what they’re learning and who they’re being influenced by. If it’s possible, Americans should homeschool their children or send them to private or charter schools to provide an optimal alternative to the public education system. The goal should be to escape from public education, which is slowly transforming the political landscape one child at a time.

Americans cannot sit aside and watch our children become brainwashed into believing that America is an evil force in the world, gender is disassociated from biological sex, and climate change will destroy the world in 12 years. This is political propaganda for the Democratic Party. It’s time to take control of our children’s education before our country finds itself being led into the ground within a single generation, assuming it’s not too late already.
